Drug and Alcohol Rehab Center for Teens in Denver, CO

A hope sign in our drug and alcohol treatment center for teens and young adults.

The Cornerstone Program is a drug abuse rehab center for teens and young adults dealing with drug and alcohol abuse. Located in Denver, Colorado, our rehab program offers a wide range of treatment programs including intensive outpatient drug programs, individual substance abuse counseling, and a robust long-term drug abuse support group that is unparalleled in the addiction treatment industry. The Cornerstone Program tailors all our drug and alcohol treatment programs & services to the needs of the individual young person and family members. We also offer support groups for parents. All of our drug and alcohol treatment programs are designed with the goal of helping young people transition into a lasting recovery and work towards mending their strained relationships.

Our young adult and teen rehab center takes a unique approach to drug and alcohol abuse recovery. This approach is based on the premise that in general, young people don’t recover without being exposed to a better, more fun, and rewarding way of life first. Our approach is specifically tailored to meet the specific needs of teenagers and young adults with substance abuse problems. We are the only program in the state of Colorado currently utilizing this unique drug addiction / abuse treatment approach.

If you or a loved one needs help with drug or alcohol abuse, but you are afraid, confused, or unsure of how to start, contact our drug rehab center in Denver or call us at (303) 690-0082 to speak with one of our substance abuse counselors. We offer no-cost evaluations to determine the best course of action for your family.

Not Your Typical Adolescent Teen Drug & Alcohol Rehab Center

One of the cornerstones of our approach is that we understand that teenagers and young adults respond differently to the treatment process than adults in traditional treatment centers. They have different needs, desires, motivations, and mental health issues to overcome than 40-year-olds do. They are dealing with the social pressures of high school, social media culture, and stronger drugs than ever before in our history. Our program is not simply a slight variation on a traditional adult program. Our program is built from the ground up on the principle of meeting young people where they are, rather than trying to force them to be something they are not. Because of this approach, our outcomes far exceed the industry standards.

Our trained and certified staff members are dedicated to helping young people and their families through the process of overcoming drug and alcohol abuse. From your first visit, you will notice that the atmosphere in our office is relaxed and family friendly. Our staff, who are in recovery themselves, are able to relate to young people in a way that is uncommon among substance abuse and mental health professionals.

  • Our Denver drug and alcohol rehab center provides treatment services for teens and young adult drug abusers all over the state.
  • We are not owned by a large corporation – we are locally owned and operated in Colorado.
  • Our staff works to develop honest relationships with the families we work with, rather than driving families to make potentially life-altering decisions based on arbitrary time frames or insurance requirements.

Our Rehab Center’s Treatment Programs and Services

Alcohol & Drug Rehab Center for Teens in Denver, CO

The Cornerstone Program’s rehab center provides a tailored list of treatment options, including:

  • Intensive Outpatient Drug Rehab Program: Our IOP program utilizes group counseling to provide adolescents and young adults with basic tools, skills, and positive peer relationships to navigate the early stages of recovery in their hometown.
  • Individual Substance Abuse Counseling: We can provide individual drug and alcohol abuse counseling on a fee basis. This can be particularly useful for a teen or young person who is experimenting with drugs, or a young person who is coming out of a treatment program and needs aftercare support to make the transition back to their hometown environment.
  • Drug & Alcohol Support Groups for Teens and Young Adults: Our support groups feature two weekly 12-step support group meetings and two weekly sober social activities for young people. The focus is on fun, developing a positive peer support system, and assisting with the transition into long-term recovery for young people.
  • Support Groups for Parents of Drug Abusers: Addiction and drug abuse affects all family members. The journey toward recovery is full of twists and turns. Our parent support group meets weekly to support each other, share experience, and share solutions.
  • Substance Abuse Counselor Speaking Engagements: Our rehab center’s counselors are committed to the Denver community in the areas of awareness, education, and prevention. We offer speaking engagements to schools, coalitions, churches, parent groups, and other community organizations. We also offer evaluations, referrals, and assistance with setting up on-campus support groups.

Our Rehab Center Mission Statement

Our primary purpose is to carry our love and understanding to those in need of our assistance. Our talented and creative staff members work an uncompromising Twelve-Step program and are committed to continuous improvement and growth for themselves, their clients, and our program. Our program strives to create a safe and attractive environment where young adults can feel comfortable when seeking treatment. We also believe this comfort needs to be combined with a deep understanding and respect for each client’s specific needs.

We are committed to helping and educating every young adult and family that walks through our door, no matter what problems or issues they bring with them. We provide an environment that shows each family an avenue for hope. Here at The Cornerstone Program, we reject the stigma surrounding drug abuse and addiction. We believe that first a person must learn to stop using mind-changing chemicals, then they can learn the tools of recovery. These tools of recovery will not only help someone maintain continual abstinence from substance abuse, they will also teach that person how to lead a happy, productive, and joyous life. A life, in every way, better than their life was when they were using drugs.
